The view from the monument to William Tyndale above North Nibley on the scarp of the Cotswolds Hills in Gloucestershire. The 111 ft (34 m) tower of 1866 has views out over the estuary of the River Severn between Bristol and Gloucester, over to the Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire, as well as inland over the Cotswolds.

Tyndale was a 16th century protestant reformer who was born nearby. Tyndale translated the bible into English, for which he was imprisoned at Vilvoorde, near Brussels, in 1536, tried for heresy, and burnt at the stake.
