While it's certainly nothing outstanding, I actually think this is one of Bristol's better office blocks. Contrasting tones and simple unpretentious repeating patterns. At least it knows it's utilitarian and conspicuous in its surroundings. Far preferable to the new crap on Canon's Marsh, Temple Quay and Prince's Wharf.

"At least it knows it's utilitarian and conspicuous in its surroundings." Just because it *is* doesn't mean it *knows*. I'm certainly unconvinced. I certainly don't think it's brave or bold. I do think it looks better out of context.
