It's not working Ray - I tried Hairbear's Canon at Laycock, and it was Ok, but I didn't feel so instinctively comfortable with it.... I'm swinging ever more in the Nikon direction.... :)

In the end, it's whatever works best for you. I imagine that you've spent long enough using a certain D70 to have worked out how to use it and become familiar with it. I can set myself up for any situation in seconds flat wit hmy 20D because I'm very used to it, but I have to look at the manual every time I want to do anything at all with Fiona's D70, because I so rarely use it. Familiarity with the controls and ergonomics make a big difference and that will vary from one camera to the next. How is the funding process going for your prospective purchase?
