I'm not entirely sure, but my map suggests these buildings were the hospital (though perhaps they were barracks?). They've been gutted and are currently being turned into luxuary flats for the olympics. At the moment they look like something one would have seen on the news in Belgrade, Beirut or Grozny.

I am currently working on a simpler way of adding comments to this page (and a far less time consuming one for those without a Yahoo login), but for now, use flickr.

These two buildings were the Royal Navy's accomodation blocks. On the left is the Senior Rates Mess and the right is the Officers Wardroom. It looks to me like they are midway through refubishing them. When the Navy left vandals kept breaking in and the totally destroyed the two buildings by smashing them and setting fires inside. I have been inside this accomodation when it was being used and it was first class luxury now waisted. Although I do not know what thier status is today.

I believe they are now apartments, ready for the 2012 Olympic sailing events.
