This was once the power station that provided current for the tram system. The cables passed along the underside of St Phillip's Bridge, and when a bomb fell on the bridge during the war the cables were severed. The trams were being phased out before the war had begun, but this blow was the end of them. Beautiful photograph of a fine building.
