I love those Eastern European cities you see in National Geographic photos, cheap horror films and BBC Four documentaries. The ones with dirty, rusty industry and chimneys that convey the feeling of poverty in freezing winters. The sort of places where old men hobble along the street carrying the family dinner, still alive, under their arms. This bridge gives an approximation of that feeling (but only in photos, there's a busy road behind the camera). When I get back to Bristol in the autumn I want to take some more, and hope an old man crosses, carrying his dinner.

How to leave your comment

Comments can be made at this photo's flickr page, here. To leave comments on that page you will require a Yahoo login.

I am currently working on a simpler way of adding comments to this page (and a far less time consuming one for those without a Yahoo login), but for now, use flickr.
